Item Description

Up for auction is a beautiful censored cover from a Germany Prisoner of War, POW, held at the POW camp in Camp Clinton Missisippi and mailed to the International Red Cross in Washington DC. Postmarked August 15, 1944. Excellent condition but shows some wear. Censorship by US authorities. Sender is a prisoner named Johannes Gertel who was also the prisoner spokesman.Very nice censorship markings.
