Up for auction is a beautiful cover from a refugee in the Jewish ghetto in Shanghai China to Oskar Salomon in Hannover , Germany. In excellent condition. Priced to sell. Postmarked march 7, 1940. Before and during world war 2 many Jews fleeing Nazi persecution took refuge in Shanghai China forming a ghetto. After the war, with the Nazi's defeated, and civil war in China heating up, many sought to go to Palestine or the USA.
