1933 Egypt Scott #- M6 British Forces In Egypt 3 Milliemes Military Mail Letter Stamp Perf 11 Unused Light Hinge Mark 80% Original Gum Corner Bend Upper Right. This Stamp Is Marked "British Forces In Egypt" And Is Denominated "1 Piastre Letter Stamp." Rendered In Bold Red Text Against A Pink Background, The Stamp Is Clearly Functional Rather Than Decorative, With A Simple Rectangular Format And Minimal Illustration Beyond the Central Denomination and Framing. This Is A Military Postal Label Used By British Troops Stationed In Egypt, Likely During The British Protectorate Period Or Shortly Thereafter. The 1 Piastre Denomination Was A Unit Of Currency In Egypt Under British Control. These Types Of Labels Were Used For Letter Postage Within Military Channels, Distinct From Civilian Egyptian Or British Postal Systems.
