Item Description

This Lot is a 1922 Japan Postal Card, Higgins & Gage #40, in Used condition addressed from Sendji, Japan to Laurel, California. Text and indicia of card is a bright red on cream paper, corners are sharp, as are straight lines, and front & reverse surfaces are clean. Light toning of paper around edges is found. Card indicia is cancelled by Japanese circular date stamp. Card measures approximately 142 mm x 91 mm. Remarks side carries extensive message describing details of trip. Please see pictures of front and reverse for condition and quality. When last catalogued by Higgins & Gage in 1978, this card was valued at $12.50 - worth more now.
