1916 WW I Great Britain Poster Stamp Remember Edith Cavell Murdered Oct 12, 1915Unused HR Nurse Cavell, an English woman was running a Belgian hospital when the Germans invaded at the beginning of WW1. At her trial she admitted to rescuing 200 allied servicemen. Executing her was the worst thing the Germans could have done, as it boosted recruiting in allied countries around the world, and obviously, led to this. Stampboards.
