Up for auction is a beautiful cover from Freienwalde Germany to a German prisoner of war, POW, in the POW camp at Fukuoka with Japanese cancels. In good condition some wear marks .Priced to sell.. Excellent cancels and markings. Postmarked 1916. Covers from German POWs held by Japan in World War 1 are exceptionally rare, moreso ones held in Japan mailing covers with Japanese franking to other POWs. Extremely rare item. The sender is probably one of the German soldiers captured in Tsingtao China by Japanese forces early in world war 1.Shipping will be a flat $3.00 within the continental U.S. for USPS mail, insurance included. for overseas airmail, I will ship worldwide airmail to overseas customers for $17.00, registered mail fees included.
