1913 German Poster Stamp 125th Anniversary Ferd. Stemler Rusk Factory in Friedrichsdorf Unused Some Slight Paper Adhesion
The rusk factory Ferd. Stemler is a company founded in Friedrichsdorf in 1788. The object of the company was the production of rusks and other foods. Food production ceased in 1975; since then, the Stemler company has managed the property on Wilhelmstraße in Friedrichsdorf, where parts of the historic factory are still located today. The larger of the surviving factory buildings as well as the neighboring manufacturer's villa are under monument protection. The listed Villa Garnier also belongs to the area today, but it was not connected to the rusk factory. Wikipedia
