Item Description

This is a very unusual, humorous, thick leather postcard, mailed from Haverhill, MA to Lynn, MA, around 1903. The stamp on the postcard is a 1 cent blue-green 1903 Franklin SC300, with a great wavy flag cancellation. The back of the postcard has a pressed design, depicting four piglets eating from a trough, with the sign hanging above "HOME SWEET HOME", and the song verse below , "Be it ever so humble there's no place like home". This would be a great addition to a postal card collection, especially if you're a pig farmer.
