Item Description
Various sizes, the largest is approximately 8.25" x 8".This grouping contains seven items, apparently from inter-related Cleveland, Ohio linseed and lard oil companies. Five have "Anti-Monopoly" statements including the advertising cover that was used to mail some of them. It is emblazoned, "Don't Buy From Monopolies: / We Are Independent of All / Trust Companies." Others simply state, "Anti-Monopoly."
Four of the items are from the Homestead Linseed Oil Company (an all-over advertising cover, a printed sales letter with price list, and two Jefferson postal cards also providing prices and sales terms.
One is a similar printed sales letter but from the U.S. Linseed Oil Company, Limited, which has the same contact information as the Homestead company.
Two paper slips for Jewel Dustless Floor Oil sold by the M. A. Cozzens Lard Oil Company, one of which was also enclosed in the Homestead advertising cover.
All in nice shape.
