Nice
1850s (probably) stampless envelope sent at circular rates from North
Bridgewater MA to East Bridgewater. No
content, unfortunately. Red CDS is a bit
spotty but identifiable; “paid” handstamp and “circular” manuscript marking at
upper rate as a rate. Scarce thus. Stain at bottom right. North Bridgewater operated 1816-1874 in
Plymouth County; the name was then changed to Brockton. Merolla & Crowther R6; Helbock R4. Neat use.
