I am in Maine and there is no snow here yet. But supposed to get 6-10 inches Saturday to Sunday.
  • John, will you be running outside to make snow angels?

Wayne, just wait for your snow, it's supposed to be on it's way.

I'll have to break out the cold weather apparel tomorrow ... socks with my flops! And a hoodie too.
  • Of couuuuuuuuuuuuuuurse its gonna snow. The closing for my next (and last) house is next week after endless delays, and I'll finally be able to have a complete stamp den again after having slowly decayed in this stinking apartment since July, and now all my storage pods will be un-loaded and I'll be moving in.....in the snow......in the Catskill Mountains ####%^&!***#######!!!!!!!!!
  • Oh what fun! Just think of all the hot chocolate with all those fun marshmallows to keep you warm between unloading the pods. I have no idea, if it's anything like rain then it will be messy.

Good luck and congrats on your new house!
  • The Catskills??? What happened to Hawaii??
  • Given my medical issues, I opted to stay local-ish so I was in near reach of my docs and Northern Dutchess Hospital, and friends and family, in case I need help as time passes and I get older. Kinda disappointing, but then again, if I get to ditch this stupid walker, I'll have hunting opportunities right out my back door again. Plus, no traumatizing my best fuzzy friend with a huge move came into play as well. I'll have to comfort myself with yearly trips to Hawai'i resorts....somehow that'll do LOL
  • Yeah -- good alternative!!
  • John Cole: Saw an unusual picture of the snow and freezing rain in Georgia this weekend. Never saw that in Gone With The Wind! Also wanted to report that our local Soccer team beat Seattle on Saturday on a cold but dry day here to capture the North American MLS Cup. We haven't had enough wins here since the Blue Jays won the World Series back in the 90's. By the way a friend in Ireland just told me that some parts have Gale force winds and snow. Temperature in Dublin -2
and my Irish wife said she remembers very few days like that when she lived there. I won't say too much about our local weather but it sure seems milder than it used to be. Have a great week and keep the shovel handy. John
  • John,
You have forgotten that the Argos won the Grey Cup (Canadian football championship, for our American friends) the other week!
  • Paul: Not mentioned doesn't mean forgotten. What I said was we haven't had enough wins in the last few years. Now is this the year for our Hockey team? One of my philatelic friends met with me on Saturday and said he got seasons tickets for the Argos. Now I better check on the weather down south - we are supposed to get snow this evening and overnight. John
