Possible scam

I received a message rom a customer in Hungary. They received a sms message from Swiss Post indicating that they are holding their package pending payment of 1.99 CMF. Why would a package going to Hungary be held up by Swiss Post? Is this some king of scam?

Probably, but even if it's ligit, it's on the buyer to pay customs, not you.

This is getting stranger. The customers name is familiar but their is no record in HipStamp or Paypal of this order.

I get similar messages allegedly from Canada Post saying that I owe a small amount to get a parcel delivered. I ignore them. Canada Post may want me to pay HST before the postman delivers a parcel, but since the Canada Post minmum charge for collecting HST is $10 any legitimite charge will be for $10 + HST and the legitimite email from Canada Post wil have the tracking number from the shipper.
The scamers are getting better and better.
