Program Changes
Recently, there have been some changes to how stamps are listed. When you open the "sell" tab, you get this new form with the option to go to the old format. You also get this new form when you use the "sell similar" tab. I list a fair amount of stamps, and do NOT like the bulk loader. I really find this new page, always popping up, a mess that takes several computer strokes more than is needed and thus wasted time. Why not reverse the process and make the new page a choice rather than mandatory?
Also, when, if ever, will the "view my store" icon be moved to the top of the page. This would be much more convenient.

And to top it all the shipping info is all screwed up. This is probably why suddenly I'm not getting large orders but only one single item each order. What a mess.
Also looks like the "Smart" listing where the category/catalog number are automatically inserted from the Item Title does not work anymore. Now I have to type that information multiple times.
This is from just playing with it for a few minutes. Not sure what other issues there could be. Does not get my approval.

Reminds me of being back on eBay.
I cannot load more than one image at a time (ie front and back images have to be loaded separately).
Catalogue number does not update in item specifics when changed in the title.
Switching to Classic is useless as it comes up blank with all the pre-entered fields empty.
Hope they fix this - did they not test this at all?!?!
If that hasn't changed it could at least be an alternative. We're only using bulk lister, but I've been sick all week and haven't put any new listings up for the past 4 or 5 days. I may try to put 4 or 5 up today and see how that goes.
This is ridiculous.
Based on feedback we received from many of our Sellers, earlier this summer we updated our experience to list items on our marketplace. Our goal was to provide a streamlined process that reduced the time it takes to list an item. On average, we are now seeing that Sellers are able to list items 2x to 3x faster than they were able to previously - which was the goal of this update.
Even with the improvements to the sell your item experience, there is still room to make selling on Hip even easier while exceeding your expectations. For that, we ask that you send feedback via email to support@hipecommerce.com with the title “Sell Your Item feedback”. Your feedback is a direct driver of our product development process and we place a high value on that feedback.
In the meantime, the team is actively working on image reordering, improving listing similar item functionality, and several other improvements and fixes within the selling workflow. Through your direct feedback, we will continue to enhance the listing experience on Hip.
We value your feedback and look forward to working together to make Hip’s listing experience the best it can be.
It is not 2x-3x faster if anything it is 2x-3x slower of not more.
You say you are working on changes then why did you even role it out?
Complete stupidity on your part.
I listed several dozen items yesterday. The listing speed was not two to three times faster; I would guess that the amount of time it took to list an item was about the same. So I am not sure where they came up with that number. So if that was the goal of this complete change to the listing function, it is a huge failure.
The Borg were the only creatures from Star Trek that actually gave me the shivers; all the rest were either just silly or I had no reaction. The Borg, however, were downright scary. No negotiation whatsoever, just a straightforward approach to reach their goal with absolutely nothing they were afraid of. They either killed you or took over completely, making you one of their drones in the process.
The response tells me that all the complaints are again falling on deaf ears. This new listing function is here to stay. Like it or leave it. Oh, and by the way, we are not finished with our changes. More to come, with an emphasis on improving functionality. If this was one of their changes to functionality, are you looking forward to their impending "improvements"?
Absolute utter nonsense - it takes two or three times as long to look up what year a stamp was issued as it used to take to list a half dozen stamps. Have you personally ever spent a few hours listing stamps - this new system will not work unless you generate the same information you did before. How about directions on how to use this listing system.
No I will not spend hours telling you what is wrong - I am probably just going to put my store on extended vacation and seek another venue or spend some time and money developing my own site. . This is the third time we have been screwed - that's enough.
Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice shame on me.
Fool me three times you are out.
"...improvements to the sell your item experience..." Typical condescending business school jargon, vaguely resembling some mutated kind of English. And "we place a high value on that feedback." Yeah, obviously.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The prior photos are gone
The minimum bid for Make an Offer is gone
When editing an existing listing, the minimum bid for “Make an Offer” disappears
Brought up a previous Austrian listing and hit the "List Similar" button. The new form appears with all the fields filled in with the information from the copied item.
I filled in the photos first. I always have two for each listing (at least), one of the front and one of the back. Not any time saved in picking out and adding the two photos. I was not aware that I couldn't change the picture order until someone commented on that loss of function. That person is right, once entered the photos can't be rearranged; they stay in the order they were entered. The only way to change the photo entry would be to cancel the form and start over again from scratch. Or one can delete each picture individually and then reenter the pictures. No time saving here.
The title change is the same as before. No time saving here.
The category stays the same (Austria). No time saving here. I also checked to see if the category listings had finally been corrected - they have not, they are same as before. For instance, Brunei is still residing in the Middle East.
Under Item Specifics, I now have to manually enter in the catalog number whereas the program previously did this automatically from the information entered into the title. Same with all the other entries including the Country, Stamp Type, Condition, Stamp Format and Year of Issue. Big loss of time here.
For the rest of the form, there were no changes in the amount of time needed to complete the form. I would have to manually enter in the Catalog Used, Catalog Price, Comments on Stamp Condition (all in my personalized Description section), the Price and the Private ID under the Preferences section. No time saving here.
So my experience is that there is a loss in time rather than time saved in filling out the form.
I would really like to find out how it was determined that time will be saved with this new form. They just state that with no information on how that was determined. I want to know which sellers they are working with to come up with these ideas for changes and then what those sellers experiences have been with the changes. Until they do so, I am calling "bullshit" on these claims.
One other change I noticed - the "Need Help" button that used to pop up in the bottom right each time you started filling out the form for a new listing is no longer present. When I had a question or complaint, I used that pop up button to post my query. You had better copy down that link to support that you were given above (support @ hip e commerce dot com) because I could not find any other way to contact anyone directly for help. It is almost as if they do not want to be contacted by making it almost impossible to do so - you now have to know the secret password (email address) in able to get help.
