Waste of Time

My previous post entitled Questionable Sellers, was a legitimate question about seeming scam sellers who take advantage of unsophisticated buyers. I got little feedback and the post quickly devolved into a coffee klatch between sellers about their impending retirements. I find it really weird that this so called forum is primary for sellers to b#### about buyers they don't like. Thanks for nothing. I will continue to check out and occasionally buy from Hipstamp while I look for other sites. At least I know that the "Forum" is a thorough waste of time.

  • I'll bite. I re-read the thread in your post. I think several folks responded to the effect that the market dictates sales. HipStamp sellers as a group, I think, are no different from any other market. The majority are legitimate, knowledgeable, and honest sellers who range from brick and mortar stores to the hobbyist who is simply trying to unload excess items from their personal collection. Like any other market on the planet, there a few who are not and, in my opinion, do not ultimately succeed. One's choice as a potential buyer, again as in any other market, is to buy, not buy, make an offer if available, or ignore. Flip side, there are people on both sides, buyers and sellers, who are not that scrupulous. I would encourage you to not give up the majority of good sellers at HipStamp. Happy Friday!

  • While I don't think it is helpful to be flippant regarding someone's concerns, I have to say that I, personally, have never encountered here the kind of negative experience that triggered Mr. Hartley's comment. Every vendor I've dealt with has seemed honest and has delivered without any issues. When I've received stamps with hidden flaws and notified a vendor, I've never been refused a refund - even when I've said it was not necessary. Recently, a vendor gave me a refund for a stamp prior to shipment because he discovered a fault ... and still sent the stamp anyway. If someone lists a damaged stamp, asks for unusually high shipping charges, or declines to offer returns or refunds, I just look elsewhere. No doubt there are a few difficult/unsrcupulous vendors but I have yet to encounter one.
  • Here, let me hold the door for you..
Go shop elsewhere..its a free country.
.most sellers do their best for their customers..I do. By the way, I made 6.50 in sales last montth..I still list stamps..I still pay my bill every month. I don't blame the buyers . It is what it is. See if the grass is greener over there.
    Good luck to you.
  • I find it ironic that a buyer that wanted to complain about sellers finds the site instead infested with sellers who complain about buyers and gets mad about it. Too funny!
