How to determine the difference between Sc. # 576 & 631....is it just by the measurements.....thanks

  Scott #576 is Flat Plate and measures 19.25mm X 22.25 mm. Scott #631 is Rotary Press and measures 19.25mm X 22.5 mm. Also the majority of the Scott #631 have gum breaker ridges easily seen from the back (ridges across the stamp). If yours is a mint Scott #631 without gum breaker ridges, then you have the rarer variety. If your stamp is used the gum breakers will not be there and the only way to tell the difference is my measurement. Hope this helps.
