Unexplained increase in item views

From 11/11 to 11/12, I saw a marked increase in views:

    On a related matter, my listings for the past few days have consistently been showing 1-3 viewings for most items, a considerably higher view rate than usual for my little store. Something amiss?

    The same phenomenon is occurring on the "other" venue - one item on a 7 day auction has over 50 views.I also am more used to 4 to 10 by closing time.

    At least one large online photography site changed the way views were tallied when they began accepting advertising a few years ago. Our daily views skyrocketed and became meaningless. I assume the increase was a means of maximizing the site's advertising revenue.

    How do you get the count listing for your store?

    Wayne, request an API key and I can provide a script to run. Im working on developing a command-line toolkit - one of those adds up my views.
    I have a hipfast script that creates a listing in less than a second, others display lusting info adjust prices, topic, qty and so on. I use hipclone to replicate an existing listing and so on.

    You may be able to get it if you download your store and add up the nb_clicks column too.
