Ukraine #4 Surcharge question

Can anyone help me with some additional background on this stamp. Scott catalog includes a note "Ukraine Nos 1-5 surcharged in grivni (hryven) with the Polish eagle were sold as Polish occupation stamps. They are of private origin." But no info on value, etc.
The image I show is a Ukraine #4 with this surcharge. Any guidance on what it might be worth and additional information on the background (especially "private origin" comment). Thanks in advance.

Wow - thanks for the exhaustive set of docs on Ukraine stamps. I think your very first statement kind of fits this stamp and I also did not see this exact type of overprint anywhere in your docs. Page 102 does give a good description of the history of this "Polish" overprint and its use. I appreciate that info.
So - makes sense to not try to list this one.
I appreciate your help on this.
