Modification to search boxes
I didn't want to post this in the bugs category, because it's not a bug, it's a feature, as they say. Unfortunately, it's an annoying feature that started with the recent changes to the site. I'm hoping the programmers can modify it. The issue is with the search box at the top, next to the HipStamp logo. The first time you type in that box it works perfectly. If you want to look for a different item, and swipe with your mouse over what you previously entered, the box flashes a line at the bottom that turns into a dot and the box goes dead! If you don't notice and start typing it ignores you. The enter key on your keyboard is dead, and the magnifying glass is also dead if you click on it. The only way to avoid this is to very carefully swipe in the box being sure not to leave the box. Then you can begin typing a new entry. This is not how a data entry box should work. It should function like the lower box on the page next to the "Seller's Username" box. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but it seems like a programmer thought this was a neat way to program the top box with a fancy flash of a line and a dot, but it's driving me mad. :-) Please fix if at all possible. Thanks.

But that is the furthest thing from an ideal workaround, as you now have to type in the country name and mnh all over again. Quite annoying if you are searching for French Equatorial Africa or Australian Antarctic Territory.
Of course, you could (and I do) copy and paste “mnh country,” but now you’re adding yet another step in what should be a quick and easy function. It should be simply double click to highlight the previously searched catalog number and type in the new number.
For other problems I’m experiencing, you can reread the above post. You are not experiencing these problems. That’s great, just as it is great that I am not experiencing many of the problems others have mentioned. It doesn’t mean those problems don’t exist. It means something is terribly wonky with this site’s coding, and there doesn’t seem to be much management is doing to correct it.
That is what I have been saying for a while.
Growing old very quickly - hire an IT department - not contractors. .
i am using Firefox and keep updates current. - search for Canada U49 then select Canada from the drop down. Then change U49 to U59. When you activate search the drop down reverts to all - it does not hold to allow another search limited to Canada to take place. . .
