Image Manager is not Auto-Deleting my Uploaded Images

In the past days, we have uploaded hundreds of new listings to HipStamp via the Image Manager / Bulk Uploading. Images used to fade away the next day from the directory.

Nothing is being deleted off by the system, once the listings have been created.

We have Hundreds upon Hundreds of images in our directory, which I will NOT delete, due to the fact that if I do, then recent listings seem to loose their images if I delete them away. Once the system deletes them, then all is good.

Kindly look into this issue.

Has anyone else (Sellers) noticed this issue?

  • Even though the image manager says it will delete listings after 24 hours, I don't believe I have ever had it do so. I always click on the "delete images" button before I upload any new images. The only problem I have had with using this feature is if I try to upload new images too quickly; however I have found a work-a-round for that problem. Rather than change the image name, I repeat it which causes the problem. I simply start with image 1.jpg and count up. I have found the system will associate the wrong 1.jpg image with my new listing, if I try to use it too quickly. I have found no problems if I wait at least one hour between bulk uploads. Too accomplish this, I simply upload more listings at one time. If I only do 100 at a time, I can get ahead of the system. By doing closer to 200 at a time, no problems have been noticed.
  • John, great information you have shared today! I like the idea of the 1 hour wait time before deleting. I do use numerical sequencing for my uploads.
